General Requirements:

• Absolutely no horseplay, wresting, or throwing objects
• Always use eye protection
• Pull back hair and take off any jewelry that could be caught in machinery
• Before using any too, make sure that the machine guards are in place and in operable condition
• Always be attentive of your surroundings
  

Operating Machinery:

• Be aware of the of any safety warnings that are present on the machine
• Never leave a working machine unattended
• Keep objects that can get tangled as far away from the moving part of the machine ( for example hair and rags and body parts)
• When repairing , cleaning, oiling, or adjusting a machine make certain that it is unplugged
• Do not attempt to stop a machine with any body part

Hand Tools:

• Never used chipped equipment
• Use shields for sharp-edged tools
• Always use a mechanical vise to keep work in place and never use your hands or body parts.
• Use a tool only for its intended use.

When in competition:

• Always use safety glasses when in pit
• Use gloves to lift robot and when uncrating
• Keep pit area organize and neat. Do not leave tools on the floor that can cause injury.
• Turn off power supply when making repairs to the robot.
